CAMUSS INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON CELLULAR AUTOMATA MODELING FOR URBAN AND SPATIAL SYSTEMS
Quando? 8 a 10 de Novembro de 2012
Onde? Portugal - Porto - Fundação de Serralves
CAMUSS, the International Symposium on Cellular Automata Modeling for Urban and Spatial Systems,
After more than three decades of intensive research on the development and application of cellular automata (CA) models to simulate urban and spatial systems, it is the time to gather all the researchers that have participated in this area of research. This Symposium is expected to be a reunion of the CA community across the world, bringing together all the generations of researchers who have gave to CA modeling the complex scientific structure that it currently has.
CAMUSS aims to make a deep reflection on the scientific history of CA in Geography and Urban Studies through the presentation of the state-of-the-art research on CA, and to devise a new research agenda for the next decades in this topic.
CAMUSS LIVE STREAMING
CAMUSS will have a live web broadcast of the keynote lectures and of the closing session in which the research on cellular automata (CA) will be discussed, available at the CAMUSS Live Streaming Channel page
Colleagues who could not come to CAMUSS are invited to comment and participate in the discussion over the research on CA, using the chat available in the page.
CAMUSS is organized by the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Coimbra (DEC-UC), and by CITTA, the Research Centre in Territory, Transports and Environment, Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, Portugal, with the participation of ACIV – Association for the Development of Civil Engineering.
